Romero Rey currently coordinates the ONCE Deafblind Technical Unit, from where they work for the continuous improvement of services and resources for the care that deafblind people receive in Spain, both children, and adults. Member of the DbI Communications Committee (ComCom).
Professional experience has always been linked to deafblind people since he started working for ONCE in 1992.
His specialization within the services for deafblind people most of the time was related to accessible technology, technical aids, and work to get the most access for deafblind people to the use of highly specialized technologies and learning about their use, which so much facilitates their lives in general and their communication in particular.
