Deafblind Education Network (DEN)

Justification: We see an urge for this network, as teaching within the field of deafblindness, is focusing towards a very minimized group of people. It is not being tought at educational institutions and therefore many questions arise. With this network we enable educators to ask, give answers and to inspire eachother, no matter where in the world you are.

The aim for Deafblind Education Network (DEN) is to become a dynamic, strong and long lasting network, where participants exchange knowledge within teaching, in the field of deafblindness. Focus: “Teaching professionalism” separated from social care.

Share goals / Milestones:

  • To be an official network within Nordic Welfare as of DBI, before end of 2024.
  • To have members from all parts of the world (North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe); by the end of 2023.
