Dots is DbI’s Technology Network’s AI guide, created to make information about AI technologies more accessible for our global community. Inspired by the communication power of braille dots and the loyalty of a guide dog, Dots is a character who grows through the knowledge shared by people around the world. Built on a dedicated AI agent platform shaped around his persona, he learns continuously and shares verified insights on AI innovations that support and empower the deafblind community.
Sometimes the resources Dots surfaces come from different countries or appear in other languages. That’s part of the richness of a global knowledge base. If a link opens in a language you don’t use, just paste it back into Dots and say, “Translate this for me”.
Why was Dots created?
- Accessibility First: Designed to support our worldwide community in multiple languages, using a friendly, conversational style; anytime, day or night
- Always Growing: Dots is currently in training, learning from trusted, community‑contributed information

Dot’s description: A computer-generated golden retriever dog with a friendly, gentle expression. He has short, soft-looking fur in a light, golden-yellow color. His ears are floppy. He’s wearing a pair of dark-rimmed glasses (Meta AI Glasses), giving him a smart look. The glasses sit on his nose and over his large, dark eyes, which are looking directly at the camera. He’s also wearing a teal collar with a small, circular tag that reads “DOTS” in white letters. The background is a simple, solid brown color, which makes the dog and the logo in the corner stand out. The logo for Deafblind International (DBI) Technology Network features two green hands gently cradling a globe of the same color. Below, bold purple text reads “Deafblind,” with teal lettering highlighting “International DBI.” A purple banner anchors the design with the words “TECHNOLOGY NETWORK” in white print.
