As June — the Deafblind Awareness Month — comes to a close, we encourage you to explore the inspiring creativity of participants in the Create & Connect Campaign on social media. Search for the hashtag #CreateandConnect to discover artworks, stories, and messages shared by our global community.

We are also proud to mark an important achievement. In commemoration of International Deafblindness Day on June 27, Deafblind International (DbI) and the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) issued a joint call to action urging global recognition of deafblindness as a distinct, highly diverse reality of life. Moving beyond the traditional definition of a dual sensory impairment, both organizations emphasize that deafblindness encompasses a broad spectrum requiring specialized support.
