It was much more than a conference: The 1st Regional DbI Conference in Asia, held in Pokhara, Nepal, from 1-3 March 2025, created and renewed friendships, shared rich experiences of outstandingly committed organisations and individuals with and without deafblindness, enabled learning from each other and inspired both further knowledge and a fighting spirit for the rights of people with deafblindness.
And all of this in beautiful Pokhara, with fantastic weather, a diverse programme and lots of smiling encounters, which, if not visible, was otherwise tangible.
The conference inspired and strengthened the participants for the next steps in Asia and around the world. There is an infinite amount to do – let’s do it with conviction, together and with a smile on our faces.
The DbI conference resolution may be able to help to incorporate the spirit of the 1st Regional DbI Conference in Asia into everyday life.
