Mirko Baur is a special education pedagogue, linguist and literary scholar, coach, and NPO manager. After years of professional experience as a teacher, principal, and research associate of the Directorate of Education, he has now been in charge of Tanne, the Swiss Foundation for People with Congenital Deafblindness, for several years. As a former member of the board of directors of a leading agency, Mirko is well-connected in marketing.
DbI board member since 2015, Mirko was elected Vice President of DbI in 2019 and President in 2023. He is, among else, also the Chair of the Communication Committee ComCom, member of the Fundraising Committee FundCom and Co-Chair of the Global Education Campaign.
Mirko lives and works in all language regions of Switzerland and is passionate about connecting and communicating.
