The University of Cologne is very pleased to inform you that we are running the EMPLOY project to maintain the employability of hearing impaired and deafblind people in working life.
As you know, the effects of hearing impairment or deafblindness can be very diverse and change throughout life. In working life, the individual needs of hearing-impaired and deafblind people are often not known and therefore not sufficiently taken into account. The EMPLOY project aims to improve the working situation of hearing-impaired and deafblind people. The aim is to create the possibility for them to (continue) practicing their own profession.
In the project, information material will be developed in different steps, which will give an overview of important framework conditions at the workplace or possible support measures. Furthermore, a possibility is being developed to assess which individual support is needed.
