DbI is deeply concerned about the war in Ukraine. DbI is standing for international cooperation for the sake of people with deafblindness, their families, friends, organizations and researchers in the field. Our basis are the Human Rights and International Law.
While we stand up for them, we will NOT give up any part of this world.
DbI will continue to work and collaborate as internationally as possible to work towards our mission. DbI will stay THE point of connection in deafblindness worldwide. And DbI will upheld as good as possible the next international conference that takes place in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 12-14, 2022.
Our special concern and attention is given to Eastern Europe under the given circumstances. We call for respecting and protecting the rights of people with deafblindness in war and as refugees. We are always available for support through DbI’s network upon request.
